Support is an essential component of Arquus' activities.
For this edition of Eurosatory, Arquus demonstrates its expertise in maintenance services, focusing on 2 showcased vehicles: GRIFFON and SHERPA SCOUT.
As a key player in service support for over a century, Arquus deploys its expertise in preparing and executing efficient and responsive support systems.
Integrated from the design phase throughout the vehicle's lifecycle, our support system ensures equipment availability and controlled operating costs. To achieve this, Arquus tailors its support strategy to the client's operational challenges, leveraging various support elements: infrastructure, human resources, supply chain, operational/industrial maintenance, and fleet management.
Arquus thus supports its clients daily and maintain over 30,000 vehicles worldwide: 22,000 vehicles for the French Army and 8,000 vehicles exported.
GRIFFON
With over 600 GRIFFON vehicles in service with the French Army, Arquus demonstrates its ability to support large volumes. Known for its support expertise and close relationship with its clients and the regiments using its vehicles, Arquus is a key player. The GRIFFON exemplifies the design of a traditional support system (Logistic Support Analysis, Training, Tooling, Operational Maintenance), a foundational service linked to technical mastery (ensuring the vehicle's repairability and evolution over time), and future support services including predictive maintenance and additive manufacturing.
Arquus provides complete support for the GRIFFON, starting with extensive training offerings across twenty themes. The company also temporarily embeds technical experts within regiments to facilitate vehicle understanding, maintenance organization, and operational knowledge acquisition. Arquus offers innovative support solutions designed to enhance operator efficiency, exemplified by the Health & Usage Monitoring System (HUMS), native sensors enabling real-time vehicle usage monitoring and function wear observation for timely maintenance and logistics adaptation.
Arquus' supply chain plays a crucial role, managing over 350 suppliers and stocking more than 400,000 parts for the GRIFFON. The company handles over 300 AIP (Automated Information Processing) shipments, optimizing logistics efficiency. The “valise DIAG”, equipped with Fault Localization Trees, reduces fault localization time by 30%, featuring a military SSI for offline use and interfacing with Sim@t for data sharing. Additionally, mapping eligible parts for 3D printing enhances supply chain agility, addressing obsolescence, stock shortages, and emergency repairs.
SHERPA SCOUT
The SHERPA SCOUT benefits from a proven support approach encompassing operational maintenance, supply chain management, human resources training, infrastructure (workshops, documentation, tooling), and fleet management. Supported in approximately fifteen countries, Arquus collaborates with over 10 local partners to enhance expertise, ensuring proximity support for maintenance, technical assistance, training, troubleshooting, and PR storage. SHERPA support adapts to client needs, ranging from team training with Arquus-developed pedagogical tools to technical resource provision.
Arquus assists in workshop establishment, advising clients on infrastructure, tooling, planning, processes, and maintenance tracking to meet maintenance needs effectively. Global fleet management is overseen by Arquus, coordinating maintenance activities with partners worldwide and dispatching spare parts across five continents. The success of SHERPA support is evidenced by the renewal of multiple support contracts spanning 3 to 5 years.
