Held in Belgrade biannually from 25th to the 28th of September, and sponsored by Jugoimport-SDPR J.P, PARTNER has become the leading Armament and Military equipment exhibition in the region, comparable to other leading international defence events such as IDEX, Eurosatory, DSA and DSEI.

The event acts as an international conduit or platform to showcase the latest in cutting-edge military technology, R&D and military hardware covering Land, Air and Sea. International delegations are able to talk to the manufactures directly, and those arriving from Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe seem to regard PARTNER as the go-to event.

The event was opened by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Milos Vucevic, who acknowledged the progress the exhibition has made and its contribution to the Serbian Defence Industry.

Mr Vucavic was later witness to contracts being signed for the supply of modern armament and defence equipment for the Serbian Armed Forces where Jugoimport-SDPR J.P, was paramount in the orchestration of cooperative contracts signed by leading manufactures in the regional industry.

Jugoimport-SDPR J.P. also signed contracts with local Serbian subcontractors to promote the export of new combat systems to the international export market.

Assistant Director for Commercial Affairs of Jugoimport-SDPR J. P. Aleksandar Lijakovic is a driving force behind Jugoimport-SDPR J. P. and has stated three clear missions for the company; first to shine a light on the capabilities of all Serbian defence manufactures and market them to the international community. Second, Jugoimport-SDPR J. P.’s commitment and loyalty to equipping the Serbian Armed Forces with the latest complex combat systems. Third, to invite international equipment manufactures to exhibit at PARTNER, thus facilitating a wealth of collaboration and knowledge sharing with exposure to the Serbian Armed Forces.

The star of the show was Jugoimport-SDPR J. P’s NORA B-52 self-propelled gun-howitzer 155mm. This has a fully automatic loading and firing system, where the charges and rounds load themselves and have an effective range of over 42 km.

Belgrade is an open and charming city and the Serbian people are warm. PARTNER Defence Exhibition certainly should be on the radar of the international defence community.
